Do you want to know how to ruin your credibility with your readers? One of the quickest ways is to use PLR (Private Label Rights) articles. It is one thing to sell a PLR product on your website it is entirely another to try to use PLR articles.

Why should you stay away from PLR articles? I know that writing large amounts of articles can be daunting when you can just spend a few bucks on some PLR articles, but do not do it.

Yes PLR articles are very cheap and in some cases even free, but they are something that you need to stay away from. There are a few things that you need to consider when you are toying with the idea of PLR articles.

1.) There may be hundreds or even thousands of copies of the exact same article circulating around the internet. Webmasters, publishers, and especially readers want fresh new content not the same article they have read a dozen times or more.

2.) Reputable article directories have rules concerning PLR articles. Most of them will flat out reject any PLR article that is submitted. Simply rearranging the paragraphs or a little creative re-writing is not enough. They have software that detects this kind of thing.

If you continue to submit PLR articles you may even discover that your account is banned. It is very hard to make a living in article marketing if the reputable article directories have banned your account.

3.) Complete re-writes of PLR articles is time consuming. If you are going to take the time to re-write a PLR article to such an extent that it is acceptable by the article directories, would that time have not been better spent creating an article of your own? We have all heard that time is money and if you waste time altering these articles you are costing yourself money.

I have tried the re-writing scheme and discovered that by the time I had changed the article enough I could have written two or three of my own.

4.) Last but not least is the damage this kind of thing can do to your credibility. You have spent so much time building the trust of your readers. Is it really worth taking the chance of destroying that trust?

If I were to read an article by one author then come across the very same article with another author claiming ownership I would think that one or the other is not being honest. If someone is not being honest then how can I trust them? I think that the average reader would feel the same.

Stay away from PLR articles they are just not worth the time, trouble, and chance of breaking your trust and losing credibility with your readers.
