This is a great book if you are trying to decide if you are going to start a professional organizing business. It provides useful information on the different aspects of running a home-based business as well as how to interact with clients and some basic marketing ideas. It helped me make my decision to start my business.
I found myself referencing the book several times as I started my business and I think it is a good reference for the specifics of setting up your business. I would recommend other books, however, if you are seeking the how-to of actually being a professional organizer (The Organizing Sourcebook by Kathy Waddill or Organizing from the Inside Out by Julie Morgenstern are great resources).

This is a great book to give you all the details on how to start an organizing business. It’s very thorough and has tons of helpful info and insight to the profession. I have only good things to say about this book and it answered all of my questions. I also purchased “Born to Organize” by Sara Pederson which is also a great book to introduce you to this field. Bottom line, if you are investing the time and money into starting your own business… read multiple books on the subject!

Initially, I checked the book out from my local library, after reading two chapters and resisting the urge to write in the margins and highlight specific points I realized I had to purchase the book for my own personal library. The book is a great reference source.
